It is now almost eighteen months since the last ClifNotes and much has happened.
The biggest change is that Intentional Healing has become known as Deep Field Relaxation.
I believe this is an important shift from the focus on recognised illnesses to the wider, and more up to date understanding of our interconnectedness on all levels.
Science tells us: We now know that there is no separation, one from the other. We all live in the same Field of energy.
Ancient wisdom replies: To some, this Field of Information has been known for centuries as the Akashic records. Apparently every action, thought, and sound leaves an imprint on the greater cosmos.
Several thousand years ago the Bhagavad-Gita declared: “The body is called a field. In this Field arise desire and aversion, pleasure and pain, the body, intelligence, and will.”
Eknath Eswaran comments: “This is the field of what can be known objectively, the field of phenomena, the world of whatever has “name and form”.
Science again: “We now speak of non-locality. It is no longer acceptable to think of each of us as observers, we are involved participants in all events. If a molecule moves, the action is matched somewhere in the universe.”
The Bible replies: “If one tiny bird dies, God will know.”
Deep Field Relaxation (DFR) is a way to access what I call the Information Field of Creativity.
It is available to everyone equally. No person is more ‘advanced’ than others. None are excluded. It is a fact of existence. Richard Bach might say: “If you are alive you are in it.” Or, more accurately, you ARE it.
It can be described in simple terms – just let go of the idea that you know the answers – but it takes a good teacher to guide you into the space of quietness required.
This is Richard Feynman, Nobel nuclear physicist, “All scientific knowledge is uncertain. This experience with doubt and uncertainty is important. I believe it is of very great value and one that extends beyond the sciences. Some scientific statements are most unsure, some of them are nearly sure, but NONE of them is absolutely certain. We know that it is enough to be able to live and not know.”
This is what Deep Field Relaxation really means. To be able to live and not know. It leads us into the state of safely letting go and experiencing something so incredibly supportive, so intimate with our own soul, that it washes away doubt and struggle. The purpose is to reconnect with the deepest part of every person’s yearning for health and joy.
Let me quote Einstein: „Without magic you do not have science“.
WOLFGANG’S FINGER
Here is a magical story from Wolfgang, a DFR student in northern Austria.
Shortly after our seminar he was cutting wood on his farm.
He told me, “I slipped and the saw cut my finger almost right through. It looked pretty nasty but as I was in shock I didn’t feel any pain until I’d driven 10 kilometres towards the hospital.”
When the pain started, it occurred to him to begin chanting one of the DFR chants in his mind. Nothing happened until, being alone in the car, he started chanting very loudly.
“Almost immediately the throbbing in my finger synchronised with the rhythm of the chant and the pain disappeared. For the next 11 kilometres there was no pain.”
Once inside the hospital he kept chanting silently, “…even then, it was like a miracle to me, because there was no pain.”
OTHER STORIES (names have been changed)

These days I am stably sober; my three teenage sons are living with me and my partner Lotty. All seems to be progressing well. I have never forgotten that experience [6 years ago] and to this day I carry with me that sense of relief from fear that came from that time with you. It has been a great blessing to me, for which I thank you.

…Right now I'm going through a difficult period in my life. This morning, for the first time since long, I played your video and did the Flying Bird exercise. Although I felt a bit rusty, at the end where I saluted you, tears welled up in my eyes; tears of pain but also of hope. I want to thank you very much for this precious gift you gave to me!
***************************
Now I begin to understand you, Clif, what it means to have several sessions a day. I felt such "charged up" afterwards, I've been on a night walk but still full of energy and couldn't sleep much. During the sessions, I felt a subtle connection to you, gratefulness.......
**********************
I like to thank both of you for your loving support and waves of energy we did receive. It really means so much to Ellen, to know you and to feel that there are people who do care for her in this very special way.
From the daughter of a dying mother.

…Incidentally Ariel is probably the biggest cynic and non- believer in this world. When she had treatment with you she was in a lot of pain from a hip following six weeks of lugging Ronnie around in the summer -and the pain went that day! That's the way to convert!

I really made improvement. The pain in my back is almost gone. Amazing. I don't think about how this can or not can. I'm so glad to feel what I feel now and that I can move as I want without pain. So I glad that you spend your intention, time and energy and did what you did to make my back feel better.

So far nothing spectacular has happened, but I do feel much more at peace with my father, and it shows. Furthermore, during this flu, my relations with Charles have been simply wonderful. It's like having him back again.
*******************************
My mother tells me that she contacted you herself and spoke of my medical problem -endometriosis. I don't know what transpired but the pain just disappeared after 7 months! Thank you very much for your wonderful healing and I wish you all the very best in your endeavours overseas.

While I was on holiday at Coffs Harbour [Australia] I attended your lecture at the Nautilus Resort. It was an interesting evening. I started to practice Qi Gong - thanks for your inspiration for me to take it up.
I cannot believe that my depression has disappeared and also I cannot believe that a miracle has happened. I had a cyst on my prostate and after that evening the specialist could not find it!

Amazing, wonderful, great, full with Love!!!! After three weeks of sickness, and three short 20 minutes healing from you made me feel absolutely great.
After your last healing, the next day amazing things happened: I could eat everything after it, the pain in the back was gone, the fever was gone and the illness together with constant having to sleep.

I'm deeply thankful so, the amazing news is now, that I will get a baby the next few days. It will be a little girl and I am looking forward to her very much because somehow I was thinking of you both the last few weeks quite a lot, and also in some talks with friends you were suddenly so present, I thought of asking you for being with me in your heart and sending me your love and good intentions during my time in labour...it is such a blessing knowing that you are with us...[emailing just after 2 am]….we started this night at 2.00 in the morning with the first contraction….very gentle and quiet...

DFR AS A DIPLOMA COURSE
Of course, the practice of DFR, like any serious undertaking, requires commitment, a respect for the teacher, a chance for open discussion of ideas and practices, and most of all, the courage to look into yourself and agree to the changes as they arise.
To qualify as an accountant takes, what, four years? An engineer, five. Do not expect all will be clear in the first seminar or even after several. It is an ongoing life-long study. I can only offer you the chance to leave behind many of the methods and ingrained thoughts you may have once thought essential.
Auxiliary Professor of Physics at "Universidade do Minho", Portugal. Interviewed by a Dutch journalist.
Journalist: Do you think the method that Mr. Sanderson demonstrates and advocates is something that can (should) be taught as a general practice on a wide scale?
MS: I think that it can be taught on a wide scale but I am very sceptical about the possibility of that happening in our present society. "Deep Field Relaxation" is not well adapted to motivate investment in a profit-oriented society: it cannot be patented, sold or rented.
Who would be interested to, literally, "put power in the hands of every person"?
It seems to me that most of the people that have the power and the influence to effectively promote such a revolution prefer to concentrate the power in their own hands (they are looking for more votes or more money to increase their power). And we are all conditioned to believe that we are powerless outside the narrow field of our specialization. We are taught to trust our lives (body, mind and spirit) into the hands of the experts and leaders. Most people will need a change of mentality before they accept and explore the possibility of having this healing power (and the corresponding responsibility) in their own hands.
DFR is now a Diploma course with identified study modules and progressive stages (for more detail see www.intention-in-action.com click on “Deep Field Relaxation” in the Home page (English, Deutsch, Dutch and Italiano) and also see “Seminars” and “Schedule”). Email is clif@compuserve.com
The Mind Music CD has been re-mastered and the new version is available now; we also have a small booklet on the Ten Principles and soon, there will be a new chanting CD.
My personal wish for you is to write and tell me what DFR means to you so that others may receive just a little of the enormous joy I personally get almost daily through the cheerful, moving and inspiring stories I get in my email.

In the last few days I have had an email from a doctor who I first met four years ago. At that time, he was on the verge of suicide and his Family Patterns – I like to use the Polynesian word, Whakapapa, or the German, Familienmuster - were reinforced by other family members who either did commit suicide or were actively contemplating it.
I love this man. He worked through so much to discover himself. Now he is head of a European group helping children with bad health problems among other wonderful things and he generously suggested that my work was one of the reasons for his own success.
As well, he has great taste in wine!

I am writing a new book of ‘healing’ stories.
Some of them are about: -
- the mad woman of Moscow
- the doctors who ran out of the ward when I began working with a woman in coma.- the man in Vilnius, Lithuania, who became angry because his bedridden mother began using his exercise weights
- the man who invited me to work in the worst slums of Moscow then became upset because the people were seeing such good results
- why some mothers held onto my clothes when my visa expired
- the people who kept extending my visa in Kathmandu
- the Dutch nun who ‘died’ in Lhasa- the group of women in New York who wanted help with the side effects of their breast implants
- the six year-old who told his sick grandmother to lie down because he was ‘Clif’
- and others
MEETING WITH A TRUE SHAMAN IN SIBERIA
(A condensing of one of the stories in my new book)
I was working at Lake Baikal in Buryatia, Eastern Siberia, and because I knew that this was historically the place where shamanism began, I hoped to meet a genuine master of the craft.
I waited only two days in the dusty city of Ulan Ude before two of the most unlikely characters appeared. One of them was short, scruffy and timid with his round face forever slipping between cunning looks and shyness. The other tall for a Buryat and domineering, wearing a much-worn plaid shirt almost hidden under a vintage 1950 blue serge suit.
Neither of them impressed me much! I questioned if these could be the true inheritors of the great shamanic knowledge!
My reservations increased at his hesitation when we shook hands because this was exactly the look I had seen on the faces of the KGB agents I had met. They are trained to pause a moment and take a ‘memory snapshot’ of the face of any foreigner they meet.
Disappointed, I began to turn away but stopped in mid-step as he clearly announced, “…your grandfather’s name was Norman”.
Magic or miracle, he was right. This man, who lives in the middle of Siberia, who can hardly speak Russian, let alone English, knew my grandfather’s name.
Doubt evaporated as I looked again at his unshaven face.
He definitely had a presence as though he had turned it on at will.
He asked a few questions, then, apparently satisfied, he and his friend led me through a small ritual needed to gain acceptance from the spirit of the Holy Lake, Baikal.
After the solemnity of the initiation, his next question was: “Will you be paying in roubles or dollars?”
“Um, dollars, I guess.”
Once that was settled, he told me, “Of course you can never be a true shaman because only direct descendants can call themselves shamans”. However, he readily recognised who I was and, if I would finance a little expedition, we could go and work in a clinic in Oost Igata, a village he visited occasionally. The expedition consisted of five of us cramming into an ancient black Russian Volga for a six-hour drive into the utter wilderness of the Siberian Steppes.
The relief at arriving safely and the chance to stretch our legs did not last long because, within a few minutes, he demanded we all back in the car and drive back to Ulan Ude.
In great agitation, he pointed out there was a major storm approaching. To him this meant God did not want us there. Bad things would happen.
It took a lot of discussion before he agreed that perhaps the storm was God’s way of welcoming us.
And so the fascinating work began. Sharing my views and working within his shaman’s belief that all illness is caused by the soul leaving the body.
The full story and the meeting with Genghis Khan’s relatives; an endless drive across the Steppes for a ‘picnic’; the child who was overcome by ‘evil spirits’ and five year-old Tsbik who began talking the day after his session, will all be in the book
If you would like to hear more of the strange and wonderful experiences of a wandering pilgrim, let me know.
I truly value your input. It carries me through the times when the words dry up and the soul feels exactly as though it has left me through my typing fingernails. I could include some of your stories in the book if you give me the right to use them and some details such as your name, age, what happened, if it involved DFR or not and so on. Try to make it something more meaningful for all of us than the spam messages we are inflicted with daily. If you would like a copy when it is published (it may be some time) send your name to reserve a brand new copy.
