Deep Field Relaxation is a therapeutic healing method as well as a philosophy of living life. It has evolved after long years of study of the ancient ways of healing and spirituality. The main pillars of DFR are: the power of intention, action without action, compassion and service to others, the return to joy, the unity of time and space.
Energy
In a certain state of consciousness as described in numerous Taoist, Buddhist, Sufi and Hindu scriptures, and recently in quantum physics, we experience life as a much bigger flow of energy. We come to know that everything is interconnected.
To some people this state is known as the Zero Point Field – when the mind relaxes, the Universe or Divine Presence reveals itself without our conscious effort and we can experience unity with everybody and everything.
The Field
According to quantum physics, we all exist within a field, which I choose to call the Universal Field of Creativity. Why the Field of Creativity? Because we co-create this world and other realities. All forms of particles constantly evolve their relationship within the Field, and that includes ourselves, patients and therapists. Because we are all interconnected we constantly influence each other.
A trained DFR practitioner’s state of calmness can be transmitted to others, either through direct contact or at a ‘distance’.
No one has successfully explained how "healing" happens. It begins by recognizing that we know considerably less than we think we do! Whatever the cause of the illness, when we are given an opportunity to experience relaxation, immediate physiological and psychological changes can take place, because of our body’s amazing ability to restore itself.
Intention
What we do know is, that if ‘I’ as a therapist bring myself to a state of deep relaxation; if my intention is to allow the most appropriate change, then ‘you’ as a patient, will be positively affected without further effort on my part. If one part of the Field changes it’s direction or state, then all other parts must change accordingly. ‘I’ am participating equally with a patient in any changes.
The Return to Joy
Research demonstrates that using this method changes happen in all areas of human activity: stress relief, health, work environment and personal relationships. DFR also creates a feeling of general happiness.
This state is assisted by listening to a specially produced Mind Music CD. It does not have subliminal suggestions, nor instructions for meditation. Instead there are repetitive rhythms and sounds which generate harmonic resonance in the mind and the body.
